Reason 2: Helping the Whole Nation

The Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010. This act allows people to get insurance that was not able to in the past. "It allows children to stay on their parents' insurance until 26, can't use pre-existing conditions, and can get it for less than $100 a month." (Democrats.org)
Adams wanted to create a national market place to help both north and south sides. He also wanted to help the Native Americans keep their territories. He was against slavery and was fought against it till the end. (Miller Center) All of these ideas showed that John Quincy Adams helped all people regardless of race or region.
